This is one of the great Robert Shaw lps, and it has never appeared on CD, probably because Shaw re-recorded many of these songs with a later chorus. The singing of Clayton Krehbiel is particularly affecting, and Florence Kopleff is simply superb, as always.
Just scored this one today at a Goodwill for 82 cents. It is in VG+/VG+ condition. When Shaw became conductor of the ASO, I began my quest for his catalog. I was always pleased with every Living Sound record I found.
