Hi, Roger. According to Philip Stuart’s Decca discography, this was recorded in May of 1958 by Kenneth Wilkinson in Walthamstow Assembly Hall. It was released by RCA in September of 1959. Hope this helps!
Also, the “London Proms Symphony” is the same as the New Symphony Orchestra of London. They also were called the “London Festival Orchestra” for a few of the box sets RCA produced for Reader’s Digest in 1959.
My recent purchase of a NM 1S/1S LM-1907 inspired to look carefully through my small collection of shaded dogs and low and behold I have this recording that I would rate as VG+ with VG+ jacket in 1S/1/S. It sounds fantastic! I’m sure I paid a couple of dollars for it. This is definitely one to watch for. Or to get in the SACD reissue!
