I have volumes 1 and 2 of this 3 record series. I also own the cd release from a few years ago. The LP’s somehow capture the instruments better than the cd version even though it seems clearer in some passages. I love both these albums and haven’t listened to the cd since buying these at a thrift shop. Hoping to get a good copy of the 3rd album. For me, this was truly the glory days of RCA as far as sound goes. I agree with those who complain about the later ‘dynagroove’ lp’s. They simply don’t compare.
