the coupled was originally issued as the LM-2068 in 1956, but the early LSC-2068 Rach release was produced with earlier equipment, thus the Liszt was omitted for that initial 1958 LSC release. In 1962 is when higher quality lathes came out where they could include the Liszt in the release. Thus, Victor kept the original catalog number and add the “LSC” for the stereo release. Interesting is that they used the album photograph that garnished the original LM-2087 Rach Variations/Reiner, and the LSC-2429 Grieg Piano Concerto/Wallenstein – in which all of these recordings were done in early 1956 when Rubinstein was on his whirlwind tour.
